Star Island details

N H’s STAR ISLAND: A day trip for spring migrants. Tuesday May 26, 2015

With Bob Quinn and Phil Brown as leaders.

Warblers will be the focus and the highlight of this trip but almost anything is possible. This is a great time for concentrations of birds as well as rare birds. This short and easy tour will be to Star Island at the Isles of Shoals.  The island is easy to walk around and easy to see the birds. There are places to sit and relax and just watch what flies by, or in some cases with tired migrants, watch what walks by! The pace of this trip will be very leisurely.

SPECIAL NOTE: the boat has a maximum capacity of 20 people (including Bob and Phil) and so it is first come first served. It will be a full day at the coast with “half-day” on the island. Since we plan to leave the dock about 9:00 AM and return about 2:00 PM you will need to bring a lunch.

COST: $60 per person payable at the dock, cash or check to Merlin Enterprises. Limited to 18 participants. The trip begins and ends in Rye Harbor, New Hampshire.
